My new article on Wiper attacks

I’ve written a new article for Cyber Security Intelligence looking at the changing nature of wiper attacks and nation-state destructive operations, and what organisations need to do now to prepare for this evolving threat landscape.

The piece explores how modern destructive attacks are increasingly designed not just to encrypt systems, but to disrupt recovery, undermine trust and impair operational resilience at scale.

It also looks at the practical steps organisations should be taking to prepare: from recovery-to-trusted-state planning and identity resilience, through to protecting backup infrastructure, clean room design and operational recovery workflows.

In this new generation of attacks, recovery capability is becoming just as strategically important as prevention capability.
